Quail Creek Ranch Facilities
Among the ranch's most salient features is the free-span indoor arena which, reaching fifty-two feet above ground level, encompasses more than 67,000 square feet over one and a half acres and is believed the largest structure of its type in the United States and Canada. Sheer spaciousness, skylights composing nearly thirty percent of the roof area and special commercial "shadowless" lighting make the arena ideal for photography and any riding activities at any hour and in any season.
Next to the indoor arena is a 2926 square foot ten stall barn. The barn includes eight 12' by 14'stalls plus two 14' by 18' stalls with adjoining paddocks. Next to the ten stall barn is another ten stall barn that used to be known as the Polo Barn. The "Polo Barn" is 2400 square feet. It is one of the original structures and was built around the 1930s. It has been fully restored. This barn is situated between the indoor and outdoor arenas. There is also a feed room and a tack room.
Facing the "Polo Barn" from the south is the 1732 square foot foaling barn. Two of the five large stalls lining its eighteen foot wide aisle exceed 270 square feet in area. All stalls have adjoining paddocks and a feed room is housed within the building.
Other significant amenities include: a three speed Johnson electric Hot Walker with four 17.5 feet arms and remote control, and seventy feet diameter round pen. Paddock areas independent of the barns are numerous. The Outdoor Arena is nearly 18,000 square feet with a viewing stand and to the the west are twelve double fenced turnout paddocks with approximately 20,000 square feet. To the south are the three Forest Paddocks which total about two thirds of an acre and lies within the quarter mile grove of century old eucalyptus trees.
